Gallant Designs comprises of two 4th year Graphic Design students, Adam (that’s me) and Cody who currently live in the beautiful and always eventful central Iowa where we herd cattle and in our free time design t-shirts and iPhone cases that we thought may interest the wonderful people of Tumblr.
We all have our fandoms that we dedicate countless hours to, but for the most part, we came to realize that the shirts that we wanted to wear weren’t being produced for the most part, and if they were, they weren’t very cute. But then we had a revelation! Why wait around for someone else to make them, when we could do the work ourselves…we are design students after all.
Adam and I saw Captain America last night and it was super good!
Cap has been my favorite of the movie heroes so far this movie is basically a team-up with Black Widow, who I really like, and Falcon, who I don’t know as well but he was good in the movie, and it’s just really satisfying. Also Chris Evans is a beautiful behemoth of a man.
So here’s this design I’ve been working on and off over the week, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. It’s available on our Redbubble store as phone cases and prints.
Go see the movie!
I made this!
Evolution of a Marvel - Starring Jean Grey
Available on Redbubble.
Alright, I finally finished Nightcrawler, I started him a few weeks ago and then kind of forgot about him. It’s available on Redbubble as a t-shirt and an iPhone case, so check it out.
I made this Cyclops image for no reason and it ended up being a pretty good for an iPhone case and etc.
The iPhone and Laptop cases are available at Society6, but in my opinion their t-shirts don’t look quite as sharp as Redbubble’s so I also uploaded the t-shirt to our Redbubble store.
If anyone would like a specific X-man done let me know and I will do it.
I have too much free time.
Here we have the next batch of Avengers-themed iPhone cases. Loki and Hawkeye were necessary inclusions but I have a love for Moon Knight and his crazy antics, and I think The Vision is pretty so I made them. And as always don’t forget to promote our stuff on Society6.
So we have officially graduated from school, which means a few things, but most importantly it means that we have zero more homework to be completing which means we have more time to devote to our own projects.
When we started our avengers initiate, I couldn’t wait to get to my main man Carol Danvers, but then once I started working on her I couldn’t decide which Marvel outfit to make…so I ended up with all four of these….
You may also notice that they are now being posted to our Society6 store as opposed to RedBubble. We had to make the heavy decision of switching vendors after multiple accounts of our work being taken down.
With the new store, we have new needs. It would be extremely extremely extremely EXTREMELY helpful if you could help us promote our work on the site. The art is ordered on the pages based on how many people “like” each piece. The more people who click the little heart button, the closer to the front page and the more visibility we will get, which will allow us to continue working, etc, etc.
SO Please click on any of the pieces you like! Every vote helps.
tl;dr we have moved our store to Society6 as to avoid it being taken offline daily and Carol Danvers is and will always be a badass.
Hello all you beautiful people! Over here at Gallant Designs we assume that every one of our followers has seen Marvel’s the AVENGERS (or Avengers Assemble if you are across the ocean). We went to go see it at midnight, and while there was a cringeworthy crowd in attendance, the film was still one of, if not THE, greatest super hero movie we have ever seen (Sorry Sky High, you have been surpassed). In honor of the movie we have gone into Avengers design frenzy, making minimalist iphone cases inspired heavily by our favorite members of the team.
For this first wave we have Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and the ever important Spider-Woman all available at our redbubble store!
If you like what we are doing, please spread the word! Like, Reblog, send the link to your Grandma Bessie. This is our last week of school, which means we will soon be poor college graduates trying to survive in a harsh, harsh world. And any suggestions for Wave 2 will be more than appreciated!
And finallllly, if you are not already, come follow us at gallant-designs for future updates, adventures, etc.
*I was joking about Sky High…it will never be replaced.
