Gallant Designs comprises of two 4th year Graphic Design students, Adam (that’s me) and Cody who currently live in the beautiful and always eventful central Iowa where we herd cattle and in our free time design t-shirts and iPhone cases that we thought may interest the wonderful people of Tumblr. We all have our fandoms that we dedicate countless hours to, but for the most part, we came to realize that the shirts that we wanted to wear weren’t being produced for the most part, and if they were, they weren’t very cute. But then we had a revelation! Why wait around for someone else to make them, when we could do the work ourselves…we are design students after all. |

Momentai everyone! Here is the first piece in a new series of assorted “School Photo” designs. The Mightiest, Morphin’est Kids you Know It has been a good long time since we posted some new stuff, and a lot of that was due to life getting the better of us with work, holidays, etc, but another large chunk of it has been the fact that I have been working on this poster for the last month. It took a lot of planning and a lot of drawing, but I am very pleased with the conclusion. So, this is a culmination of things that I have been working on for the last week. I made all of these cute sailor moon related vectors and had been trying to figure out some way to make the henshin into graphic art. This is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy them! If nothing else, this exercise did a really good job of showing me which Sailor Senshi had better color combinations than the other ones…. Sailor Moon Season 1 - Things Adam likes as Minimalist Posters And I also uploaded it as a print to redbubble in case anyone is in the mood to have it on their wall, or above their toilet or whatnot. I will probably be slapping it on an iphone case later too, and then moving on to Sailor Moon R with some chibiusa action. The plan is to do each season, so we shall see where it takes me.

Hello Everyone! It has been a crazy last few weeks, but one of the highlights (for me at least) was the announcement of the new Sailor Moon anime coming out next summer. That, along with the fact that I am halfway through Vol 6 of the manga rerelease, and that Cody and I finished Sailor Moon R last night, has really gotten me into a Sailor Moon obsess frenzy. And these designs are what came out of my possessed fanaticism! Round one of the Sailor Moon Type shirts/cases consists of Which are all available at our lovely Redbubble store. If you are holding your breath for one of the other Senshi, do not worry! Round two is already underway and consists of Venus, Jupiter, and Mamoru. And if that all goes well, we shall keep on keeping on until we get to Parallel Sailor Moon and realize we should probably stop. Until next time Adam (colorlust) |
